Great Rankings and Poor Monetization
I need help. I admit my monetization efforts seem to suck. I have several websites at the top of Google for their individual searches but my monetization has been less than stellar. I will give you an example.
Website is www.mybigmensclothes.com – as of a few minutes ago I did a search with the primary search term of “big mens clothes” and the site comes in at number 5 out of 2.7 million. Lots of Adwords ads down the side and on top. I have Adsense on the site but for some reason I do not get a high click through and earn about $10.00 a month. I also have LinkShare affiliate links that earn about $20.00 a month.
So here I am with a site that ranks very well and has a decent payout for Adsense clicks and good Affiliate programs but I am obviously missing something.
Does anyone want to help me out with some tips? I’ll trade you some of my SEO work for some of your monetization work……..

Take a look at my blog and the site attached to it. Also read some of the info that Garry Conn has at http://www.garryconn.com and Marson Mason at http://www.masonsworld.com. That is where I got my ideas. Mark also gave away a free ebook on building Niche Blogs with the purchase of his Niche Themes.
Mainly, consider putting an ad block above your content.
